Shipping Rate Update: Plan Ahead for Peak Season
Shipping Rate Update: Plan Ahead for Peak Season
As peak season approaches, ecommerce sellers should prepare for potential shipping cost increases and changes to EU customs fees. Planning ahead can help protect profit margins and keep fulfillment operations running smoothly.

1. Potential Shipping Rate Increases Starting October 19
From October 19, 2026, shipping routes to the United States and Europe are expected to see rate increases of approximately RMB 5–8 per kg.
These potential adjustments reflect peak-season capacity constraints and rising logistics costs across the industry. Actual increases may vary by shipping route and service.
2. Additional EU Customs Processing Fee Starting November 1
From November 1, 2026, shipments to EU countries are expected to incur an additional €2 EU customs processing fee, on top of the existing €3 tax-related charge.
This change is related to EU customs policy developments affecting shipments from China and is not a fee imposed by HQ alone. Please confirm the applicable charges for your specific shipping route with your account manager.
How Can Ecommerce Sellers Prepare?
To manage these potential changes, we recommend that you:
Plan ahead: Arrange inventory and shipping schedules early to prepare for peak-season demand.
Review your margins: Recalculate shipping costs and product profitability before adjusting prices or promotions.
Confirm the latest rates: Contact your HQ account manager for updated shipping rates, applicable fees, and available route options.
